Hello - My name is Kim Ragozzino and I am your life Science teacher. This is my first year with Agora but my 9th year teaching middle school science.I am very excited to be joining you at Agora. I am originally from Ohio and have lived in Atlanta Georgia, Washington DC and Portland Oregon. I am very happily settled just outside of Philadelphia. I have a bachelors degree in Science from Kent State University and Masters Degree is Biology and Teaching from Portland State University.

1) I spent the summer of 2012 in Namibia working with a Cheetah Conservation organization
2) I am married and have 4 kids (3 boys and a baby girl)
3) In addition to my family I share my house with 2 mastiff mix dogs, 4 rescued cats, 1 bunny, and 10 chickens!
4) My masters thesis was rehabilitating and releasing endangered species in Costa Rica, mostly scarlet macaws and spider monkeys
5) I was a park ranger in Portland Oregon and was responsible for the apprehension of one very serious criminal
6) I have been bitten by a squirrel monkey and rat snake, both hurt.
7) I have driven in every state in the US and at last count have been to 36 different countries
8) I have ridden on both African and Asian elephants (South Africa and Thailand)
9 I swam with sharks (OK, they were Nurse sharks but still)
10) I love whale watching and so far have seen several including Humpbacks, Fin, Southern Right, Orca, Belugas, Gray and Minke whales. I really want to see a whale shark in the wild.
